Staff Logistick was founded by Ms Elizabeth Boulton, who is passionate about practical action to address climate change and assisting the transport and supply chain sector to adapt to a more sustainable structure. Membership: Associate of the Environment Institute of Australia and New Zealand (EIANZ)• Supply Chain and Logistics Association of Australia (SCLAA) • Logistics Association of Australia (LAA) Background:With 14 years experience in the freight and logistic sector, Elizabeth has recently completed a minor thesis on sustainable freight transport at the University of Melbourne. Her expertise in this emerging area was acknowledged when she won the Victorian Department of Infrastructure's “Women in Freight and Logistics” award. She will be part of the Universities lecturing team for 'Sustainable Supply Chains' from mid-2008. She has recently worked on renewable energy projects (wind-farms), analysis of external costs within freight sector, transport climate change policy audits and in preparing discussion papers for agencies at the early stage of examining these issues. Previously a Transport Officer (Major) in the Australian Army, she served in East Timor, Iraq and played a key role in coordinating the logistic support plan for the Asian Tsunami. In 2002, she used long-service leave to undertake humanitarian work in Ghana, Nigeria and Sudan’s troubled Darfur region, which has given her a poignant understanding of social sustainability issues. Whilst studying she worked part-time on several high tech logistic information technology projects, such as RFID and business support decision making tools. Logistick has access to a variety of other specialist experts who may be drawn upon to suit client requirements.
